Installation

Are there other mounts available for the cameras?

Yes. Please visit the accessories page of our website.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for on our website, there are many other mounts available on the internet that might fit your needs. Just make sure to match the screw pattern on the mount with the camera you purchased.

Does AnywhereCam provide installation services?

No. However, our cameras are so easy to install that we know you can do it. The fact that you don’t need to pay for a professional install is one of the ways we help our customers save money.

How hard is it to install?

It’s extremely easy to install AnywhereCam products. You can simply use 4 screws to attach it to the side of a post, wall, pole, etc.

Cellular Service & Cloud Storage

How much storage do I get for my videos?

If you subscribe to our cellular plan (or our cloud storage plan for Wi-Fi models), we will save your last 30 days’ worth of recorded videos. There is no limit to the amount of video that we store.

Can I pause my 4G service?

Yes. Customers can pause their service for up to 3 months out of a year.

What if I try it and it can’t get a cellular signal?

We have a 30-day return policy. If you just can’t seem to get a cellular signal in your location, simply return the camera to us and get a full refund.

What if I don’t have cell service in my area?

These days, most places in the US have at least a little bit of cellular service. When you order a camera from us, we use special software to determine which cellular provider has service in your area. We pre-load your camera with the optimal SIM card to use the best available cellular signal in your location.

Do I need to add another line to my phone plan?

No. AnywhereCam handles the cellular service for you. You simply get a monthly bill from us.

Do I need to sign a contract?

No. The camera belongs to you after you make your initial purchase. You can cancel your data service at any time.

Do I need to pay a monthly fee?

If you purchase our 4G cellular cameras, then the answer is yes. Every 4G camera has its own SIM card and data plan, just like a phone. That means that every camera also has its own monthly subscription fee, just like a phone.

If you have Wi-Fi available, then you do not need to pay for cellular service. You can simply add cloud storage to your plan for a small monthly charge if you would like to access recorded videos.

Cameras

Does the Eagle camera automatically rotate to track the movement of things it has detected?

No. However, if you receive a notification that your camera has detected movement, you can go into the app and manually control the camera to track things in real time.

Will I get notifications on my phone when the camera detects movement?

Yes. When your camera detects movement, you will get a notification on your phone and/or tablet. You can fully customize your notification preferences in the app.

Can I move my camera to a different location?

Many people move our cameras from one part of their location to another.

If you’re moving it a significant distance (for example, from one job site to another), you may need a different SIM card for the new location.

Can I share my camera feed with other people?

It’s extremely easy to give family, friends, team members, and employees access to your video feed.

Can it detect motion?

The cameras detect motion up to 100 feet away.

You can customize your motion detection settings in the app. This includes human detection, increased or decreased motion sensitivity, and setting up specific detection zones.

Does it have night vision?

Our cameras have infrared night vision to allow you to see in the dark. In addition, the cameras are equipped with flood lights that allow you to illuminate an area and see color video.

You can customize your night vision mode in the app, depending on your preferences.

Can I mix and match 4G cameras and WiFi cameras?

Yes. Many of our customers use our WiFi cameras on their home or in their office and place our 4G cameras in more remote locations like entrance gates and parking lots. No matter which cameras you use, they all feed video back to our convenient app for easy viewing and sharing.

Do the cameras come with a warranty?

Yes, all of our cameras come with a one-year warranty that covers manufacturer defects.

What’s the field of vision?

  • Distance
    • If a camera is mounted on the second story of a building, you can easily see what is happening within a one-block radius of the camera. You can see things happening over one block away, although the resolution goes down over longer distances (just like with any camera).
  • Rotation
    • Our Eagle cameras can rotate approximately 280 degrees. Our Hawk cameras do not rotate.
  • Lens
    • The lenses on both the Eagle and Hawk cameras have a 120 degree field of view.

Does it need Wi-Fi?

No. If you need to put a camera in a location with no Wi-Fi, then you should choose one of our 4G cameras.

How long does the battery last?

Under normal usage (checking your camera’s live video feed 2-4 times per day and recording an average number of occurrences), one full charge of the battery will last 8-15 days.

Does it record video?

Yes. Our cameras start recording when they detect movement. The video is sent to the cloud. If you subscribe to our monthly cellular plan (or have a WiFi camera that’s subscribed to our cloud storage service), that means you can access all recordings that occurred during the past 30 days.

If you want to save a video, simply go into your cloud storage in the AnywhereCam app and download the video you want to your phone or tablet. From there, you can share it with anyone you’d like.

Can I see live video anytime I want?

Yes. Unlike trail cams or game cameras that send you snapshots of things that have already happened, AnywhereCam lets you get a live view of real-time video anytime you want it.

What happens if it’s cloudy or my solar panel is covered in snow?

One full charge of the battery will last up to 2 weeks. That’s plenty of time for the sun to come back out and melt the snow off of your solar panel so charging can resume.

Are the cameras weather resistant?

Yes. Our cameras can handle temperatures ranging from 140°F to -22°F. Rain and snow don’t bother them either.

In the case of hail, if the solar panel on your Eagle camera gets damaged, you can simply detach the solar panel and replace it without having to replace your entire camera.

How do the cameras connect to the internet?

4G cellular and Wi-Fi models are available for both our Eagle and Hawk camera models.
